Wasteland & Blight Forests

Region · The Overgrown Wilds

Between the ruins of Beast of Reincarnation's Japan lies a wasteland where forests erupt suddenly from the dead ground — vertical, overgrown and built for Emma's traversal.

Forests suddenly burst forth amidst the wasteland.

The signature image of Beast of Reincarnation’s world is a paradox: a dead wasteland out of which lush forests suddenly burst forth. This is where you’ll spend much of your time, and it’s built around how Emma moves and fights.

A landscape that grows wrong

The official framing describes a beautiful, harsh land where overgrowth erupts amidst the ruin. These blight forests aren’t peaceful — they’re the most concentrated expression of the corruption, vertical tangles of vine and bloom rising from poisoned ground. Beauty and danger sit on top of each other, which is the tone the whole game is reaching for.

Made for Emma

Terrain like this is the perfect stage for Emma’s plant-vine traversal. Where the overgrowth blocks an ordinary path, her vines turn it into a route — swinging between trunks, reaching high ledges, using the forest as a way forward. Expect exploration here to reward mastery of her movement.

What lives in the green

The forests are also a natural habitat for plant-fused horrors and blighted beasts — enemies whose area control and ambushes make the overgrowth feel alive and hostile. Tread carefully; the prettiest places here are rarely the safest.

Specific named forest regions haven’t been detailed. This entry describes the established environment concept and will be expanded as locations are revealed.
