Blighted Beasts

Common Threat · Corrupted Animals

The most common malefacts in Beast of Reincarnation are blighted beasts — animals warped by the corruption into aggressive, unnatural predators.

Once animals — now something the wasteland made.

Where the blight spreads, the animals go first. Blighted beasts are the archetype we’d expect to form the backbone of Beast of Reincarnation’s early bestiary — creatures that were once ordinary wildlife before the corruption reshaped them into aggressive, unnatural predators.

What to expect

In an action RPG built on technical combat, the common enemies serve an important purpose: they teach you the fundamentals. Blighted beasts are the likely candidates — fast, numerous and dangerous in groups, but readable enough that you can practise your dodges and parries and your Koo commands against them.

Sealing the common foe

Even the most basic malefact still carries blight, so every blighted beast Emma seals contributes to her growth. Expect these to be your bread-and-butter encounters — the threats that keep the wasteland tense between major fights.

This is an archetype entry based on the game’s established framing that malefacts range from corrupted creatures to machines. We’ll replace it with specific named beasts as they’re revealed.
